A Ford Mustang comes in either a four-cylinder or V8 engine. These two engines come with either a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission. However, the GT500 comes in dual-clutch seven-speed transmission that offers smoothness and power. Regardless of the model you choose, the Mustang sends power to its rear wheels.

The entry-level model is the EcoBoost. It sports a 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 310 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. You can add a High-Performance package to this model to increase power output to 332 hp. Even better, you can add the Handling Package for better performance. This package offers wider wheels and tires, Torsen limited-speed differential, adaptive suspension dampers, and upgraded brakes.

The Mustang GT features a more powerful engine, a 5.0L V8 that makes 450 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. Even better, the Mustang Mach 1 comes with a more powerful version of this engine to make 470 hp.
